Marley-Rose Coffee Co is owned by good friends Ruan and Charlie, who share a love for quality, craft and creating a space where people feel genuinely welcome.
Ruan had dreamed of opening a coffee shop for many years, but while building his surf trip business, the idea stayed quietly on the backburner. A passionate baker at heart, he has a real love for traditional baking and can happily talk for hours about the benefits of proper, authentic sourdough.
When Ruan became a dad and moved to the West Coast with his family, the idea finally became something real.
Ruan partnered with Charlie, the coffee guru, who brings more than 15 years of experience in the coffee industry. Together, they combine a love for hand-crafted coffee, fresh baking and real hospitality.
Ruan’s wife, Tracey, helps with the marketing, branding and creative direction, helping shape the Marley-Rose personality and story.
What started as an idea has become a warm, happy and welcoming place where we get to share our love for coffee and baking with the West Coast.
Marley-Rose is inspired by the slower rhythm, natural beauty and strong sense of community that make the West Coast so special.
